Four men arrested in Armley after police seize hundreds of cannabis plants in two houses

Police have arrested four men in Armley after finding almost 400 cannabis plants at two addresses.

Officers searched a house in Armley and found nearly 300 cannabis plants at various stages of growth, which were then seized.

Another address was then searched in Whingate, in Armley, and four men have been arrested on suspicion of production of cannabis, where 70 'mature' cannabis plants were seized.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: "A house in the Armley area has been searched by officers and nearly 300 cannabis plants at various stages of growth were seized. Enquiries are ongoing.

"A further house has been searched in the Whingate area of Armley and 4 males have been arrested for production of cannabis where 70 mature cannabis plants were seized.

"Always call 999 immediately if

•The crime is still in progress

•Someone's injured, being threatened or in imminent danger

•The offender is still at the scene"
