Entrenched Leeds paedophile with a decade of offending is jailed

A paedophile who has spent more than 10 years downloading abuse images has been jailed again after trying to bypass police security measures.

Undeterred Jack Lancaster had tried to look at the sickening images even after officers had installed software on his phone to monitor his use.

The 29-year-old appeared at Leeds Crown Court where he admitted another breach of his sexual harm prevention order (SHPO).

The pervert was first given his SHPO in 2015 after he was caught downloading and distributing images to other paedophiles and inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.

He was caught again in 2020 downloading further images, before being given a 16-month suspended sentence.

In 2023 he was given a caution for breaching his SHPO, having refused to let police inspect his internet devices.

In January 2025, he was once again caught downloading images and was found to have engaged in chats online with children using aliases.

He had also used “incognito mode” on his phone, which does not register his internet history - therefore another breach.

Prosecutor Bashir Ahmed said on November 7 last year, Lancaster bought a mobile phone on which the police installed esafe software to monitor his use.

On February 9 this year he was found having sexualised conversations online with a female, who had recently become an adult, but was found to have been using the incognito mode on 10 different days.

He was out of prison on licence from a two-year jail sentence at the time.

Lancaster, of no fixed address, appeared in court from HMP Leeds having been recalled.

Mitigating, Lily Wildman said he had entered an early guilty plea. She said he lives an isolated life and it suspected he has both ADHD and autism.

Judge Andrew Stubbs KC told Lancaster: “Everybody wants you to stop doing this.

“You now know what happens. You keep getting sent to prison, and you will keep getting caught.

“You can’t stop yourself doing it at the moment, and it’s almost inevitable you will be found out.”

He jailed him for two years.
