Here are eight vile criminals who were locked up in Leeds this week.

Their crimes include a former Leeds police officer who was jailed after admitting sexual assault and misconduct in public office.

Also locked up at Leeds Crown Court this week, was a man who murdered his partner in a “ferocious and frenzied” drunken rage after she told him that she would leave him.

Convicted rapist Chris Warhurst handed a new jail sentence of 27 months, which will run concurrently to his existing sentence after he groomed a supposed 14-year-old while on licence. He was confronted by a paedophile hunter group when he travelled the 85 miles from Blackpool to Leeds. The 40-year-old was also given a 10-year sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) to curb his internet use. He is already on the sex offender register for life.
