Here are eight of the repugnant criminals who were locked up in Leeds this week.

Their crimes include a Wakefield pervert who uploaded footage he took of a sexual encounter with two females onto Snapchat with a tagline of “free porn”.

Also locked up at Leeds Crown Court this week, was a thug who threatened his estranged wife with a hammer and refused to leave her alone.

Pervert Thomas Purviss has been jailed for 18 months and put on the sex offender register for 10 years after he posted footage he took of a sexual encounter with two females. Purviss loaded the camera footage onto Snapchat with a tagline of “free porn”, much to the horror of the victims. The 33-year-old appeared at Leeds Crown Court where he admitted two counts of sharing intimate films for sexual gratification.

Kory Cowell, who was suffering from psychosis, attacked an 80-year-old who was pushing a relative along Harehills Road in a wheelchair. The 39-year-old had failed to take his medication and launched at the elderly man without provocation. Cowell has 19 previous convictions for 35 offences including drug dealing, public order and for firearms. He was jailed for 18-months and given a restraining order of indefinite length.
