Driver reported for travelling from south Wales to Leeds without insurance during lockdown

A driver has been reported for driving without insurance, after making a 200 mile journey from south Wales to Leeds.

They were stopped by West Yorkshire Police on the M62 eastbound near Outlane on Sunday as they travelled to Leeds.

The force's motorway unit found the driver had no insurance.

The car was seized and officers reported the driver.

In a statement issued on Twitter, the RPU said: "Driving from South Wales to Leeds was a non eventful journey for this driver until they entered West Yorkshire force area and were stopped by our motorway unit, and found to have no insurance covering them for the vehicle.

"Vehicle seized and driver reported."
