A driver crashed into two other cars after failing to pull over for the police.

The red Fiat Panda failed to stop for officers when asked in the Bramhope area on Monday, November 30.

It then continued travelling down Otley Road until it approached the junction with Farrar Lane, in Adel, at about 5pm.

At the junction, the car crashed with a Volkswagen Tiguan and Ford Transit Van.

The driver of the Fiat Panda was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The injuries are not considered life threatening.

The passenger suffered minor injuries and has since been released from hospital.

The occupants of the other vehicles did not require hospital treatment.

Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw the vehicles prior to the collision to come forward.

Anyone with dash cam footage of the incident is asked to contact police.
