A sadistic sex offender has been brought to justice more than 40 years after he raped and horrifically abused two young girls.
Leeds Crown Crown heard disturbing details of how David Harris subjected his victims to a lifetime of psychological trauma after targeting them as children.
Harris, 60, previously known as David Cranfield, is already serving a 19-year sentence for serious sex offences.
His latest victims came forward and after reading media coverage of his sentencing in 2016.Julian Jones, prosecuting, said Harris abused the two girls over the course of around a year in Wakefield.
The victims were also subjected to violence and humiliation.
In relation to the older victim, Harris pleaded guilty to two counts of rape of a female under the age of 16 and one count of indecent assault on a female under the age of 16.
In relation to the second victim, he pleaded guilty to unlawful sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of 13, attempted rape of a female under the age of 16 and three counts of gross indecency with a girl under the age of 14.
Sentencing, Judge Christopher Batty told Harris: "You put your perverted need for sexual gratification above the basic rights of these two girls."

That sentence is made up of a seven-and-a-half year custodial period followed by a three-year extended licence period.
