Convicted Leeds child-rapist who contacted boy online and traded sickening abuse images is spared jail
A convicted child rapist who targeted a boy online and traded abuse images with other paedophiles has been spared custody.
Milan Demeter latched onto the youngster’s profile, asked him sexual questions and sent a photo of himself in his underwear, but had little clue that it was an undercover officer.
The 42-year-old Czech national admitted a raft of offences at Leeds Crown Court this week, including distributing abuse images to other like-minded perverts.
The court heard that in January last year, Demeter contacted the supposed 13-year-old boy on Hornet, the social-media platform for gay males, asking if he had any pictures of himself.

Despite the boy making his age clear, Demeter persisted and continued to request photos and asking if he had ever had sex or masturbated.
He then sent the photo of himself in his underwear.
Officers went to Demeter’s place of work on February 6 last year and arrested him.
They seized his phone and found 65 indecent photos of children, including 30 in Category A, showing the most serious kind of abuse such as children being raped.
Even more seriously, he was found to have been in online conversations with 11 other paedophiles and and had shared six photos.
During his interview he apologised, but claimed he did not know the age of the boy, which was untrue.
Demeter, of Elford Grove, Harehills, admitted three counts of possession of indecent images, two of distributing images and one of attempted sexual communication with a child.
The court heard he had one previous conviction for raping a boy in the Czech Republic.
Mitigating, Craig Sutcliffe said Demeter had entered early guilty pleas.
He said he had lost his job as a result of his pending court case and lived in the UK for 21 years.
He added: “He appears to have led a law-abiding life working and contributing properly.”
The judge, Recorder Jeremy Hill-Baker gave Demeter a 20-month jail sentence, suspended for 24 months.
He told him to complete 20 rehabilitation days with probation and 100 hours of unpaid work.
Demeter was also put on the sex offender register for 10 years and given a 10-year sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) to curb his internet use.
