Body of woman in her 30s pulled from Leeds Liverpool Canal

It happened at a stretch of the canal near Bingley.

West Yorkshire Police were called to reports of a concern for safety of a woman in Wagon Lane just before 8am.

A body of a woman in her thirties was later pulled from the canal.

Police cordons remain in place in the area.

A West Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: "Police were called at 7:49am this morning (25 November) to reports of a concern for safety on Wagon Lane.

"A body of a woman in her 30s was recovered from the canal.

"There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
