Officers searching for missing York man Joseph Cafferkey have sadly found a body.

Police attended the River Ouse near the Blue Bridge in York at 12pm today.

The body of a man was recovered, police confirmed.

He has not yet been formally identified, but Mr Cafferkey’s family have been informed.
