BMW flips on side in Pudsey town centre crash as railings and pavement damaged

Railings were damaged in Pudsey town centre last night after a BMW flipped on its side in a crash.

Police were called to Church Lane in Pudsey centre shortly before 9pm last night.

The crash involved a BMW 116 which ended up flipped on its side.

The driver was not injured in the crash, police confirmed.

Railings outside William Hill bookmakers were damaged in the incident.

Elsewhere in Leeds, a man died after being found injured in the street outside a block of flats.The ambulance service and police were called to Lincoln Towers in Lincoln Road at about 9.30pm on Monday night.

The man was found injured on the road outside the block of flats in Burmantofts and he was pronounced dead shortly after.

Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the man's death.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: “At 9.20pm yesterday (30/11) police were contacted by the ambulance service who were attending a man found injured outside Lincoln Towers, in Lincoln Road, Leeds.

“He was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

“A scene was put in place and enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances.”

Police were also called after two people forced their way into a house in Bramley armed with a gun and assaulted a 29-year-old man before demanding property and stealing electrical goods inside.

Three men aged 32, 34 and 45 and a 26-year-old woman have been arrested after the burglary at a Fairfield Hill home.

The victim received minor injuries during the incident which happened at around 7.30pm on Monday night.
