Victims' courage praised as West Yorkshire child sex offender jailed for 18 years
A man from Keighley has been jailed for 18 years for a series of child sex offences in the Castleford area
A West Yorkshire man has been jailed for a series of sexual offences against two children.
Barry Riley, 68, of Keighley, was sentenced to 18 years in prison at Leeds Crown Court today (June 19) after being found guilty of 17 offences.

Riley was brought to justice following an investigation by Leeds Safeguarding Unit after the two victims came forward in 2022.
He was convicted of offences including rape, sexual assault by touching, and causing or inciting a girl under the age of 13 to engage in sexual activity.
The offences took place in the Castleford area between 2015 and 2021.
Praising the victims for their courage in reporting Riley's crimes, investigating officer Detective Sergeant Katie Nutton said: “I hope this outcome will give them some closure and allow them to move forward with their lives.
“I also hope it will encourage other victims of sexual abuse to come forward and report it to our specially trained officers, who will provide support throughout the process.”
