The 67-year-old was held in the Rochdale area yesterday by officers from West Yorkshire Police’s child safeguarding unit in Leeds.

It follows a report from a 36-year-old man of offences said to have occurred in the late 1980s and early 1990s when the school was at its site on Woodhouse Moor.
