Armed police taser woman in east Leeds street after man is seen with machete

Armed police descended on an east Leeds street after a man was seen with a machete.

Officers were called to Dawlish Mount, East End Park, just after 9am today (Thursday) to reports of a man in the street with a machete and another man with injuries.

Police arrested two men, aged 22 and 24, and a 22-year-old woman from a nearby address.

A taser was used to arrest the woman.

The injured man was found a short time later with serious injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.

The 30-year-old man was taken to hospital and was arrested in connection with the incident.

A scene is currently in place in Dawlish Mount and Leeds District CID is continuing enquiries into the incident.
