Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen a Red AUDI S1 Quattro used in an attempted robbery in Wetherby.

Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen a Red AUDI S1 Quattro used in a robbery in Wetherby.

It happened at the Kendall's Jewellers shop in High Street on Saturday, September 5.

Officers were called to the scene at about 1.15pm to reports of three men in the store.

They were armed with sledgehammers and claw hammers.

The men fled the scene in a Red AUDI S1 Quattro.

Officers are asking any members of the public that may have seen the distinctive car or have any dash cam footage to contact them.
