Appeal after 12-year-old boy is pushed from his bike into oncoming traffic by man

A 12-year-old boy was taken to hospital after a man pushed him from his bike into oncoming traffic.

It happened in Acomb, York, near to the junction of Boroughbridge Road and Beckfield Lane, between 4.40pm and 5pm, on Wednesday (October 7).

The boy suffered a soft tissue injury to his ankle after the unidentified man pushed him into the traffic.

The boy was shaken by the incident and was treated in hospital.

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for information regarding the identity of the man, or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the incident.
