Here are the names and faces of 48 criminals who were locked up in Leeds during August 2026.
Their crimes include a drug addict who was found guilty of murdering his friend in a tower-block bloodbath before dumping his body in the street.
Also sentenced at Leeds Crown Court last month, were four men who dumped their friend's lifeless body on the pavement after a botched revenge attack, and a predatory paedophile who called himself “Epstein”.

19. Scott Wright
Scott Wright was jailed for three years after he and an accomplice smashed their way into an Adel house, while the holidaying owners watched in horror over CCTV on their phone. The 46-year-old admitted the burglary and attempting to break into another home on the same night. His accomplice will be sentenced at a later date. | WYP / YEP
20. Jason Blackburn
Jason Blackburn was jailed for four years and four months for a "frenzied attack" on a man under the railway arch on Brick Street, off York Street in Leeds city centre. An argument broke out with 35-year-old Blackburn then lunging at the man with a knife - claiming the victim owed him drug money. The man suffered five or six stab wounds to his stomach and arms. It was later found that his liver had been lacerated by the blade. | WYP
21. Luke McNally
Thug Luke McNally has been jailed 43 months and handed a 10-year restraining order after a sickening and sustained attack on his female neighbour, kicking her to the head, when she refused to come to his flat. The 31-year-old pushed her over, forced her to the floor and put his hands around her neck. He then struck her over the head with a wellington boot. | WYP / YEP
22. Amy Russell
Amy Russell has been jailed for 32-months after she tried to smuggle drugs, including small amounts of cocaine, codeine, paper coated in spice, pregabalin and the opioid medication, buprenorphine, into HMP New Hall in Wakefield by hiding them in her bra. The 32-year-old was then caught with a mobile phone and a charger in November while serving in HMP Foston Hall in Derbyshire. | WYP
23. Logan Callaghan
Jealous thug Logan Callaghan, who became paranoid after taking cocaine and steroids, has been jailed for three-and-a-half years and given a 10-year restraining order after repeated attacks on his partner. The 25-year-old would accuse his partner of cheating and search through her Snapchat account. He was found guilty after a trial of two counts of ABH and one of coercive behaviour. | WYP / YEP
24. Tony Yates
Paedophile Tony Yates has been jailed for 12 years after he plied a teenage girl with vodka before raping her. The 35-year-old, who was found guilty of sexually assaulting the youngster and then raping her following a trial at Leeds Crown Court, continued to protest his innocence, despite overwhelming DNA evidence. He was also put on the sex offender register for life, and given a lifelong sexual harm prevention order. | WYP / YEP
