20-year-old pedestrian airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary after crash involving Fiat 500

A 20-year-old pedestrian was airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary after a crash involving a Fiat 500.

The incident happened on Hull Road, Hemingbrough, at 8.50am yesterday.

It involved a beige Fiat 500 and a 20-year-old man.

The man sustained a head injury in the crash.

The stretch of road was closed for two and a half hours while officers investigated the scene and to allow the vehicle to be recovered.

Local diversions were put in place by highways.
