Police have launched an urgent appeal for information after reports of an 11-year-old girl being approached by a man in "suspicious circumstances".

At 8.13am today (June 25), police received a report of an 11-year-old girl being approached by a man in suspicious circumstances in a ginnel that runs between Rossefield Avenue, Rossefield Place and McLaren Fields in Bramley.

A scene is currently in place and enquiries are ongoing by officers from Leeds District Safeguarding Unit.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information that could assist the investigation is asked to contact Leeds District Safeguarding Unit via 101 quoting log number 296 of June 25.
