Police negotiators have been sent to the scene of an ongoing domestic incident in Burley.

The incident is now over. A 28-year-old man has been arrested at the house for a previous breach of the peace offence. Road closures are being lifted.

Cardigan Road has been shut near the Co-Op store due to concerns for a man's welfare. Buses are running to diversions.

Police were called just before 4am to the house where the man is.

They said:-

"Officers are at the scene and trained negotiators are speaking to the man.

"A road closure has been put in place until the incident can be safely resolved."
