“I learnt so much throughout my apprenticeship and it’s been an amazing experience. I’d recommend an apprenticeship to anyone who wants to learn, while gaining practical experience in the industry. It’s the best balance in my opinion. I would like to thank everyone at CITB and Barratt’s for all they have done for me.”

Sula Sneddon, Apprenticeship Officer at CITB, said: “Gabriel has an infectious personality whose motivation and can-do attitude leaves people feeling inspired.

“His excellence is constantly recognised by his peers and superiors with his colleagues complimenting him on his great work ethic and ability. It has been a pleasure working with Gabriel and I wish him the best of luck in his prosperous career in construction.”

Kevin Mcloughlin, CITB board member and founder and Managing Director of Mcloughlin Decorating, said: “Congratulations to Gabriel, a clearly dedicated apprentice – it’s great to recognise his hard work. Apprenticeships provide a fast track route into the construction industry and with one in five employers hiring, there has never been a better time to consider an apprenticeship. I wish Gabriel all the best in his career in construction.”
