I’m back to reality with a bump - I landed at Manchester airport last week and I haven’t stopped since.

I’ve just returned from three amazing weeks in Thailand and I’m smitten with the country. From its tropical beaches to the hustle and bustle of Bangkok; the heady mix of aromas, sights and sounds are an assault on the senses.

I ate my body weight in fresh and fragrant Thai street food and I’m addicted; luckily one of my fave Thai restaurants in Leeds Zaap is launching a new lunch menu next month and I can’t wait. We had a sneaky taster and trust me you’re in for a treat.

As I’ve been gone for a while, I have lots of catching up to do with friends and clients so I’ll be making the most of one of the big trends to emerge in Leeds last year - the bottomless brunch and supper clubs which are everywhere but my favourites from budget friendly to blow outs include Bocca at Oracle, Rum and Reason (careful here now, that punch is strong stuff), Revolucion de Cuba, Epernay and Gaucho for a pay day treat.

Brunch at Revolucion de Cuba.

My globetrotting gluttony resulted in me trying out pilates last month to try and keep the belly at bay and with all these brunches on the horizon I think I’ll have to do more than trot round Paul Smith for cardio.

Leeds lad Ricky Burwell and his mate Ben Brown are trying to convince me to try out boxing training like world champion Anthony Joshua or even her majesty Kim K – I’m not so sure - I’m more a lover not a fighter.

The pair of likely lads are hosting a boxing event on May 15 for the Lord Mayor’s charity which will pitch staff from the city’s hospitality industry such as venue owners, bar staff and DJs against each other in the squared circle.

The event will raise money for Candlelighters, an amazing charity that helps children fighting cancer.

It seems as though Leeds has gone boxing bonkers especially now we are to host a world title fight at Elland Road on May 19 when Josh Warrington takes on Lee Selby….come on Josh you got this!

Speaking of Leeds United, they are doing a cycling sportive on July 8 that will see lots of Leeds legends take to two wheels to raise money for the clubs chosen charity. Sponsored by Yorkshire cycling brand, Fat Lad at the Back it looks like it will be a great day so why not sign up via www.leedsunited.com/news/club-news/23016/cycle-with-leeds-united.

All the London Fashion Week coverage has got me super excited about the prospect of getting my ‘Spring Summer 18’ look on point so I’ll be all over my favourite independent boutiques when their new season ranges drop.

Last year MKI hooked me up with my staple fruity shirts and I can’t wait to see what Allotment, Accent and Best Vintage will have on their racks this Spring.

I haven’t been to a club for a while, as my ‘big fish, little fish, cardboard box’ days seem like a lifetime ago, but wild horses wouldn’t keep me away from La Discotheque when Norman Jay, Crazy P and my boy’s PBR Streetgang headline on the March 10 at Canal Mills.

I love their mix of deep house, disco and laid back rare grooves, so I’ll be dusting off my dancing shoes and hoping I still have what it takes to make it through until 5am.Hope to see you all on the dancefloor.
