Body found in search for missing man

Officers have been looking for Christopher Rhodes, 54, since he went missing from Ackworth on Tuesday evening.

And this afternoon they discovered a body of man in the village at about 1.30pm.

A post mortem examination will be carried out to determine the cause of death.

But officers said there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.

Mr Rhodes’ family have been made aware of the discovery.

And enquiries remain ongoing.
