Originally applying to become a trainee, Paul quickly identified that Sarah’s knowledge and relevant experience could bring more to the department in an established role and swiftly offered her the Assistant Technical position instead.

Commenting on the promotion, Paul said: “I’m delighted to be joining the Yorkshire East team, and to be continuing my career at Barratt Developments. I credit a lot of my skills and professional advancements to the company as its commitment to staff training and investment is second to none.

“Prior to merging with Barratt Homes, I worked as a Regional Engineer for David Wilson Homes before becoming Technical Manager for both brands. Throughout this period I gained a wealth of expertise and dealt with multiple challenges, all of which have expanded and built upon my existing knowledge. I’m now looking forward to passing this on to the next generation of Barratt employees within my new role.”

Commenting on Sarah’s appointment, Paul said: “It was clear from the outset that Sarah’s knowledge was far more advanced than that of a trainee. Talented technical employees are hard to find and we’re confident that Sarah has the potential to make a valuable contribution to this division in a short space of time.”
