Nathan Clark, who runs the Brudenell Social Club in Hyde Park, was one of 50 people to receive an INDIE50 award this month.

The awards recognise unsung heroes of independent live music across the UK. Now a photograph of each winner is set to be showcased at an exhibition at the 71a Gallery in London from September 8.

Mr Clark, 36, said: “It’s not just me, there’s a team that put a lot of effort into Brudenell too – we have been doing this for more than 15 years so it’s not just a flash in the pan.

“We don’t just put acts on like a conveyor belt, we want to do right by them. It’s nice to be named amongst a lot of really great and like-minded individuals who work hard and make the music industry happen, without getting any recognition.”
