Art collective takeover at Headrow House in Leeds for one night only

MUSIC and art is set to merge at a special takeover at Headrow House.

The free event, called ‘Into the Mind of I am Collective’ will be held across three floors of the venue on The Headrow.

Curators I am Collective are taking over the building, showcasing work by local artists and musicians from Leeds and beyond.

On the ground floor, the beer hall will host an exhibition of photography, prints and sculpture.

Upstairs in the gig room, DJs Tom Blip, Contours and Capua Collective will perform with visual projections and set design and sculptures by the I am Collective and Lines and Light.

On level two of Headrow House, local visual projection artists Melt Trip will showcase their work in the cocktail bar, providing a hippy, 60s vibe with live projections using oil projectors.

A statement from Melt Trip said: “We stand for escapism, surrealism, the search for paradise.

“A visual legacy which is sentimental to the soul, selfless humble interactions between the optical and the sonic.”

The free event and exhibitions are for one night only, and it runs from 8pm until late tonight.
