Retailers and the postal service are always seeking additional pairs of hands during the busy Christmas run-up, but there are some more unusual opportunities to get stuck into this festive season.

From cheerful elves to Father Christmas himself, here are some fun festive roles currently available in Leeds.

Great Grottos are recruiting friendly and jolly folk to step Santa's boots this Christmas, helping to spread joy and festive cheer ahead of the big day.

The company are seeking male candidates between the age of 27 and 80 to take on the role of Father Christmas in the Leeds area, handing out presents to children, posing for photos and creating lasting memories for visitors.

Full training will be provided for the role, along with a costume, and candidates must be able to demonstrate a warm and cheerful character.

Full and part time roles are available.

Exhibitions International are also recruiting for a Father Christmas in Keighley, to hand out presents and snap some memorable photos.

If you get as excited about Christmas as Buddy the Elf, then taking on the role of one of Santa's helpers could be the perfect way to earn some extra money.

Great Grottos are on the hunt for reliable, hard-working individuals to assist Santa in welcoming families, operating the till point and creating a memorable experience.

Candidates must be able to interact easily and deliver an imaginative performance, which requires improvisation throughout.
