10 fire engines from across West Yorkshire on scene of huge blaze

A total of ten fire engines are on the scene of a huge blaze in West Yorkshire.

Crews are currently at a fire in a field on Hoyle Mill Road in Kinsley, Pontefract, West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed.

The fire service received a call at 2.23pm to reports of pallets on fire in a field.

There are currently ten pumps in attendance – three from West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service (WYFRS) and seven pumps from South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service.

From West Yorkshire, there is one fire engine from Kilingbeck, Skelmenthorpe and Dewsbury fire stations, plus the hose laying unit from Mirfield Fire Station.
