Photographic retailer Wex opens largest camera store in Yorkshire

Inside the new Leeds Wex Photo Video store

The move, which comes as a result of increased demand during lockdown and a commitment to multichannel growth, cements Wex’s move into the north of England.

The expansion created multiple full and part-time job vacancies, helping local residents get back to work.

The new hires all have expert industry knowledge and a passion for photography, offering beginners, enthusiasts and professionals the advice and assistance they need.

The branch has 3,000 square feet of customer-friendly space, stocking a full range of photography gear – from batteries, filters and memory cards to high-end cameras, studio lighting and printers – from leading brands such as Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, Olympus, Panasonic, Celestron, Sigma, Manfrotto, Epson, Profoto and DJI.

Alongside the new equipment, Wex Leeds is home to an array of fully tested used items and offers comprehensive professional services, including rental, repair, trade-in and free camera set-up.

Open seven days a week, the Leeds branch operates Monday to Friday, 10am-6pm, on Saturday, 9am-6pm and on Sunday, 11am-5pm.

Second- and third-placed entrants will be awarded £150 and £100 in vouchers respectively.
