As the Bank Holiday weekend gets underway, animal welfare staff at the RSPCA Leeds, Wakefield & District Branch are making a special appeal to local pet lovers.
The East Ardsley rescue centre is currently caring for 13 cats and kittens who are all looking for loving homes across West Yorkshire forever.
Whether you are looking for a playful kitten, a pair of bonded companions, or a relaxed older lap cat, the local rescue team has a wide range of felines waiting to meet their match.
All cats adopted through the branch come fully microchipped, vaccinated, flea- and worm-treated, neutered, and vet-checked prior to rehoming.
7. Ash (Domestic Short Hair – 2 years 11 months approx)
Ash is a handsome, three-year-old black cat with a distinctive white chest patch and a wonderfully affectionate, outgoing personality. Known for his big character and love of attention, he enjoys climbing, scratching towers, chasing toys, and finding warm, sunny spots to nap after a good play session. Ash is looking for a home with secondary-school-aged children where he can be the star of the show. | RSPCA
8. Minnie (Domestic Short Hair – 3 years approx)
Minnie is a three-year-old black-and-white cat looking for a very special, patient home to help her overcome a challenging past. While affectionate on her own terms, her early life means she can get overstimulated when overwhelmed, making her best suited to an adult-only environment with adopters who understand cat body language | RSPCA
