While many of us faithful reporters are duty-bound to the newsroom in this beaming sunshine, for everyone else, the last few days of half-term offer another chance to get out and about.
It's also the perfect excuse to find something new for the kids to do - especially if you've somehow already had your fill of the brilliant Explore festival happening across Leeds Heritage Theatres this week.
Although we have made our choices before, we instead threw it open to readers of the Yorkshire Evening Post Facebook page to ask their recommendations on where to go for a walk this week with the dog, while the weather is still good.
Admittedly, we wouldn’t recommend walking your dog down Briggate despite one or two suggestions; some of the faithful green spaces of Leeds have once again been suggested, along with one or two hidden gems.
So, where should you be going with your canine companion to meet other dog-walkers?
Here’s your list of nine locations for the ideal dog walk this spring.

7. Otley Chevin
Annette Alderman kept it simple with "Otley," and for dog walkers, that almost certainly means the Otley Chevin Forest Park. It requires a bit of a steep climb, but the spectacular views across the Wharfe Valley from the Surprise View make the muddy paws entirely worth it. | James Hardisty

8. Swinsty & Fewston Reservoirs
Andy Horsman rightly pointed out that these are technically in the Harrogate district, but they are incredibly popular with Leeds locals. Just a short drive out of the city, these adjoining reservoirs offer stunning, well-maintained paths right by the water's edge. | Local Library

9. The Stray (Harrogate)
Another honourable mention just outside the Leeds borders - Nick Bond recommended The Stray, noting it is only a short trip away. With 200 acres of open grassland wrapping right around Harrogate's town centre, it is a fantastic, wide-open spot to let your dog have a proper run around and take in the last of the cherry blossoms in bloom. | Sarah Warne
