Many of the cats in our gallery overcome significant hurdles, including managed medical conditions like heart murmurs and allergies, or the loss of a previous owner.
Be it a high-energy playmate like the adventurous Marvin, a ‘cuddle bug’ like the sweet Mochi, or even a capable mouser like the independent-minded Ladder, there is a feline companion here ready to bring a touch of magic to the right household.
If you feel you could offer one of these special cats the sanctuary they need, the process is simple: take a look through the gallery below to see if any of these faces pull at your heartstrings, then head over to the Cats Protection website to fill out an application.
Each cat’s profile contains specific details on their ideal environment, and the homing team will be on hand to help ensure a perfect match for both you and your new four-legged friend.
Will one of these moggies be your newest family member this month?
7. Tommy (Domestic Short Hair)
Tommy lives for playtime and tasty treats. He is incredibly appreciative of any attention he receives and would be a fantastic fit for a family with older children. Tommy previously experienced partial seizures, but since starting his medication, which is easily administered in his food, he has been completely seizure-free. He is a resilient, happy lad ready for his next big adventure. | Cats Protection
8. Marvin (Domestic Short Hair)
At two years old, Marvin still has the boundless energy and playful spirit of a kitten. Because he can get a little too "enthusiastic" and nip when over-excited, he needs an active home without young children to provide plenty of stimulation. Marvin has a Grade 3 heart murmur that requires no current treatment, just an annual check-up to ensure he stays in top form while he's zooming around. | Cats Protection
9. Isla (British Blue)
The beautiful Isla came into care following the sad passing of her owner. Isla has made it clear that she prefers to be the only pet in the household so she can remain the undisputed centre of attention. She is currently managing suspected Inflammatory Bowel Disease with daily medication and a prescription diet, which keeps her feeling her best. | Cats Protection
10. Ladder (Domestic Short Hair)
Eight-year-old Ladder is searching for a very specific type of home following the death of his owner. He shows his love by rubbing around your legs and is currently thriving in a foster setting. He would be the perfect partner for someone in a rural or farm setting who needs a reliable mouser and can respect his independent spirit. He also takes daily medication in his food for arthritis. | Cats Protection
