From today (Monday) groups of up to six people, from any number of households, or a group of any size from up to two households, are allowed to gather in parks and gardens in England, and outdoor sports facilities can reopen. The "stay at home" rule no longer applies, but people are being encouraged to “stay local” where possible. With that in mind, here are some of the best places in Leeds to meet up outside - let's just hope the weather holds out!
7. Beckett Park
Beckett Park is situated next to the Leeds Beckett University campus.
8. Potternewton Park
Not just for Leeds Carnival, Potternewton Park is a great green space.
9. Chapel Allerton Park
Chapel Allerton was recently named one of the best places to live in the country by The Sunday Times.
10. Horsforth Hall Park
Located just six miles from Leeds city centre, this large community park in Horsforth is ideal for a gentle stroll. There’s plenty of open parkland to cover and kids can be kept entertained by the various attractions, including an adventure playground, bowling green, cricket pitch and a Japanese formal garden.
11. Bramley Fall Woods
This large woodland area encompasses a trim trail, a playground and playing fields, with the woods backing onto the Leeds Liverpool Canal so visitors can wander down the path alongside the river.
