8. Sir Ben Kingsley
For clever clogs out there, so is Sir Ben Kingsley. His father was a GP partner at a small practice in Scarborough and the family rented a cottage in nearby Snainton.
Sir Ben received an honorary degree from then Hull University’s Scarborough campus in 2010.
