The great outdoors is right on your doorstep. Here's a handy guide of some of the most scenic spots for walks in Leeds:
7. Roundhay Park
Covering 700 acres of parkland, lakes and woodland, walkers have plenty of picturesque spaces to wander around at this popular outdoor spot, incorporating both tarmac paths and woodland routes. There's also often an ice cream van along the way!
8. Yeadon Tarn

9. Meanwood Valley Trail
This seven mile linear walk runs from Meanwood Valley through to Breary Marsh, next to Golden Acre Park, meandering through pretty woodland along a relatively flat route - fit for all abilities.
10. Golden Acre Park
Sitting on the route of both the Leeds Country Way and the Meanwood Valley Trail, Golden Acre Park attracts plenty of walkers, and is known for its picturesque gardens and circular lakeside walk. Photo: Tony Johnson
11. Tong and Fulneck Circular
