With the once-per-day exercise cap removed, it’s a good opportunity to get out and about and make the most of the great outdoors. Visiting and sunbathing in local parks will also be allowed, along with socially distant outdoor picnics, and day trips to other destinations within England. If you are keen to get moving again and enjoy the unlimited amount of time outdoors, here are some of the most scenic walking routes to enjoy in and around Leeds.
5. Temple Newsam
Boasting 1,500 acres of land to explore - made up of open grassland, woodlands, a walled garden, and lakeside paths - Temple Newsam provides an idyllic spot for a leisurely stroll.

6. Golden Acre Park
Sitting on the route of both the Leeds Country Way and the Meanwood Valley Trail, Golden Acre Park attracts plenty of walkers, and is known for its picturesque gardens and circular lakeside walk.

7. Eccup Reservoir
Beginning on Alwoodley Lane, walkers can head down towards the reservoir and follow a five mile circular route around the open water, passing by woodland and sprawling fields along the way.

8. Trans Pennine Trail
This long-distance route passes by rivers, canals and through historic towns and cities in the North of England. The Garforth to Woodlesford section is a particularly scenic part of the trail, offering countryside views.
