Leeds party bar, Rev de Cuba's tapas and cocktail menu passes the taste test
A post work pick me up at Rev de Cuba.
It didn’t take long for Revolución de Cuba to establish themselves as one of Leeds’ most essential party bars, but if you’ve not yet tried the food then you’re really missing out.
Their Cuban-inspired fusion menu presents an irresistible array of dishes that you won’t find anywhere else in Leeds, and I for one am hooked. I dropped in after a long day in the office last week and found comfort and solace in the mouth-watering selection of food, and indeed the cocktail menu too (it had been one of those days).

Hide AdI decided to whet my appetite with one of my go-to tipples from the 'Rum Twists' menu, the Miami Vice. Mixed with Don Q Anejo Rum, coconut, milk, pineapple and Strawberry Daiquiri, it’s a fruity little number that never disappoints (a bit like me really).
I always struggle to pick starters from the tapas menu, as there’s so many winners, but I managed to come to a joint decision with the lovely Sara Garvey. First up came the jerk fried chicken, which are coated in a cajun and jerk spice crumb, and served with Revs homemade rum mayo, which is an absolute banger.
The mojito prawns are yet another strong recommend, and the accompanying lobster mayo always leave you wanting more and wishing you had the recipe at home.
The main plates are similarly varied, and cover a range of tasty meat, fish and veggie options. Feeling adventurous, I thought I’d try something new and went with the chargrilled swordfish.

With just enough room left to squeeze in a light dessert, I opted for the creamy coconut ice-cream, which really is to die for with its toasted coconut and grilled pineapple topping.
The perfect end to a tasty AF meal, Revs de Cuba set a new standard as far as bar food goes. We’ll be back!
