The rural broadband specialist has launched its Season of Giving campaign and wants to hear from groups and organisations who need some extra support to bring their festive plans to reality.

Community-spirited Quickline is offering to assist communities in various ways, including providing funding and donations, sending members of its team to help run events, and rewarding people who have made a difference where they live.

The campaign is the latest move by Quickline to support the rural communities it serves.

Julian Chalk, Head of Engagement and Enablement at Quickline, said: “We’re committed to helping rural communities flourish, not only through connecting them to our broadband network, but in any other way we can too.

“We want to work with the communities we serve across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire to help them grow and develop.

“Christmas is a brilliant time for people to come together and we want to support that by whatever means possible. That’s why we’re urging residents, groups and businesses to get in touch, so we can give something back at this special time of the year.

“Whether it’s food banks, festivals, fairs or fun times, we want to be there, helping to connect communities.”

Quickline, which is based in Willerby, East Yorkshire, is on a mission to bridge the digital divide between urban and rural locations and has already thrown its support behind a series of festive events and activities.

From handing out hot chocolate and treats to people attending local Christmas Fairs to providing decorative, festive lights for events to sponsoring a Christmas lunch for pensioners and supporting schools with their festive fun activities.

A dedicated page has been launched on the Quickline website to tell people about the campaign and ask for help towards their events and activities.

Helen Milner, Community Executive at Quickline, is a member of the team delivering support across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire over the festive period.

She said: “We stepped in to help some incredible events last year and we’d love to be able to do even more this time around.

“Our Season of Giving campaign is all about Quickline giving something back to the communities we serve and spreading a bit of Christmas cheer along the way.

“So, if you’re involved in a festive activity and want some help, get in touch and we’ll see what we can do to support you and your community.”
