Property news: Buyers swoop for Leeds city centre apartments

A new residential scheme in Leeds city centre is proving to be a big hit with a range of buyers.

Seventy five per cent of apartments in phase one at Tate House have now been snapped up by owner occupiers and investors keen to beat the forthcoming stamp duty increase on buy-to-let properties and second homes.

Nina Barker, sales manager at the Leeds office of exclusive selling agent JLL says: ‘Since the start of the year sales have been incredible.

“There is no doubt the stamp duty increase coming into effect in April has really spurred investors into action.”

Tate House, on New York Road, offers one, two and three bedroom accommodation with a high quality specification including engineered wood flooring (or Karndean) to the main living areas, a range of integrated appliances and a modern bathroom suite.

The two and three bedroom apartments include an en-suite.
