The city council has approved plans to build eight town houses on Lower Brunswick Street, off North Street, just outside Leeds City Centre.
Kestrel House, a vacant three-storey office site, will be knocked down to make way for the scheme, proposed by developer City Fusion.

A planning officer’s report said permission was granted almost five years after plans were first submitted to Leeds City Council.
The new homes would provide three bedrooms, home office spaces and rooftop gardens at the site, which was empty after failing to attract new office tenants.
The report said: “Owing to the period of time that has elapsed since the submission of the application, Kestrel House has remained vacant since before 2021.”
A design report by the applicant said the family homes would be within walking distance from the city centre and Leeds train and bus stations.
It said: “The proposed three-bedroom town houses have well designed flexible living accommodation, along with the attraction of the roof top garden in this city centre location.”
