Kym Cairns, Local Property Expert in Leeds for Purplebricks said, “The LS28 postcode offers a lot of two and three bed terraced homes that are perfect for first time buyers looking to get onto the property ladder. There are plenty of older terraced houses and stone builds, which many buyers prefer to new builds because they have character.

"There is a really good community feel to the area, with a lot of families living there due to it being a school catchment area for schools like Crawshaw Academy, Pudsey Grange Field, Priesthorpe and Springbank Primary School. Town Street in Farsley is a popular area with all amenities including food shops and hairdressers.

“The area has grown in popularity, especially after lockdown.

"Recently there has been a surge in young families wanting to relocate to LS28 because of the schools and the local parks, which gives them access to outdoor green space and keeps the children entertained.

"With many banks now offering 95 percent mortgages, it is a good time to buy and get onto the property ladder. It’s a good sense of independence to be able to own your own home and although it takes years to pay off your mortgage you will eventually own your house outright.”
