The village’s two train stations also help with this. Sherburn-in-Elmet station has services to York that take 17 minutes and South Milford Station gets commuters to Leeds in just over 20 minutes.

Steve Jackson, sales director at Redrow Yorkshire, says: “In a recent survey we carried out to discover what buyers want from their home post-lockdown, 64 per cent of respondents said private outdoor space was important, as well as bigger kitchens and excellent energy efficiency. Our homes at Saxon Gardens tick all of these boxes.

“Interestingly, 54% of Yorkshire respondents said they would still be working in an office at least some of the time when lockdown ends. This shows that while we want more space from our homes now, commutability to major employment hubs will still be important in the future.”
