Commuters keen to buy Gipton homes

Its selection of two, three and four-bedroom homes have been snapped up by everyone from first time buyers to professional couples and families, all looking to benefit from the short commute in to Leeds city centre.

Paula Murdoch, Bellway Yorkshire’s sales manager, said: “We were incredibly confident Oak Tree Gardens would prove popular when we launched it. We actually had 63 reservations last year alone making it one of the fastest selling developments in the region.

"It’s absolutely amazing that we are so close to selling out in such a short amount of time.”

The final eight homes at Oak Tree Gardens are all Milton two-bedroom semi-detached properties. Prices start from £133,995 and are all available through the Help to Buy scheme.

The Government initiative, which is aimed at getting more people on to or moving up the property ladder, allows buyers to purchase their own home with a five per cent deposit, which means homes in Gipton can be purchased with deposits ranging from just £6,700.

The Miltons have consistently been among the most popular with Bellway buyers in Gipton. They each feature front-facing, modern fitted kitchen, complete with stylish units, work surfaces and upstands, a generously sized lounge, which provides additional space for dining, a contemporary bathroom and two large double bedrooms.

“We’re certainly expecting these final eight homes to sell out very quickly,” continued Paula. “As there is already a thriving community within the development, any new and perspective buyers are able to see immediately what life would be like at Oak Tree Gardens, which just adds to the attraction of the development.”

The site sales centre is open 10am to 5pm Thursday to Monday, or call 0113 240 5427.
