Each week, the Yorkshire Evening Post reviewer brings you their verdict on one of the city's many great restaurants – from the latest openings to long-running institutions.
Now well into the second half of the year, we look back at the restaurants and cafés that have impressed the most so far.
Here are 15 restaurants that scored top marks and what our reviewer had to say about them.

1. Mans Market (8.75/10)
Our reviewer escaped the World Cup frenzy with a visit to this Hong Kong inspired restaurant. It scored a perfect 10 for atmosphere, while food and service scored 9. The YEP Reviewer gave it a 7 for value. | Iconic Media Photo: YEP reviewer

6. Wetherby Whaler (9.25/10)
The Wetherby Whaler has been in Wetherby since 1989. So one would assume it would take a lot to impress our reviewer on their visit. This institution passed with flying colours, scoring a 10 for service and 9 for food, value and atmosphere. | Iconic Media
