Whether I’m playing beer pong, shuffleboard or Streetfighter II, the hours just seem to run away whenever I’m at Roxy’s.

My recent visit to Roxy Ballroom Merrion Street was a great escape from Storm Dennis and coincided with their new food menu launch, which proved there’s more to this gaming brand than booze and ball games.

The once relatively limited menu has been expanded, with great care taken to ensure that each new dish has earned its place. It’s all unashmedly calorific and exactly the kind of food I want to indulge in when I’m winding down with friends.

After a round of Roxy lagers and a game of ping pong, our selection of nibbles arrived. First up came the deliciously gooey Halloumi Fries and the crispy Cracked Pepper Fries. Both were winning, but no match for my personal favourite – the Mac n Cheese Bites with chipotle mayo. I could quite literally eat these by the bucketload.

From the Loaded Nachos menu, we went for the Buttermilk & Chicken, which include fried chicken fillets, melted cheese, crispy bacon and buttermilk sauce.

They were awesome. Roxy’s remixed food menu boasts plenty to shout about and won’t break the bank with its wallet-friendly prices.

Available across all Roxy’s Leeds venues, you need to check it out when getting your game ON!
