From pubs that have stood the test of time to some of Leeds’s latest additions to the nightlife scene, there are plenty of recognisable joints in Leeds.
7. Duck and Drake
It is thought that the Duck and Drake has stood for over 200 years on Kirkgate. Originally known as The Horse and Groom, then The Broughman Arms, this pub has undergone various name changes before landing on its current name in 1985. Photo: Simon Hulme
8. The Adelphi Pub
The Adelphi was built in 1899, a dozen years before the Titanic. And the pub was once a showpiece for the nearby Tetley's brewing empire, just over the famous bridge where the first motion pictures in the world were filmed in 1888 by Louis Aime Augustin Le Prince. Photo: James Hardisty
