Opening date set for new pub at Crown Hotel Boston Spa with open kitchen and conservatory

The Crown Hotel, located in the village near Wetherby will reopen to the public on Wednesday May 26.

The Grade-II listed building has been vacant for more than nine years and has undergone a £1.2million renovation over the last 12 months.

It's under the new ownership of Further Afield Pubs, the independent Leeds-based company behind the overhaul of the Beck and Call in Meanwood.

The Crown Hotel will feature an open kitchen, private dining space and a newly constructed conservatory - The Stables - which will sit in the newly landscaped garden.

Its return will also create at least 25 new jobs for locals.

General manager Chris Impett said: “We’re really excited to get the place open and welcome the community back to their local after so many years of it being stood empty.

"It will be a pub for that quick pint after a long day’s graft, as well as somewhere to meet friends and family for a meal in our new contemporary dining area.

“You can expect the likes of beer battered haddock and chips, steak and treacle ale pie, and a traditional roast served with all the trimmings every Sunday.

"We’ll also have imaginative vegetarian and vegan dishes.”

The Crown Hotel has announced on its Instagram account that it will be a dog-friendly pub, with plenty of tables available outside or in the bar area for pooches.

It will serve a seasonal menu incorporating produce from local and regional Yorkshire suppliers, including meat cuts and fresh fish caught by line on the East Coast and landed exclusively by day boat.
