The Box's outdoor terrace opened on April 12 and the newly branded venue will open indoors fully on May 17.

Formerly The Pit, the Stainbeck Lane bar has undergone a transformation to become a sports bar where all major tournaments will be showcased.

The newly refurbished outdoor terrace has an LED screen to allow locals to watch games with alfresco food and drinks.

The Box will be open seven days a week from May and will offer craft beers, sharing steins, cocktails and wines and spirits.

It also comes with a new menu - including a 'must try' crispy fried katzu chicken pizza.

Box classics including the towering Boxster burger, the chicken shawarma kebab and steak fries will also be available to order.

The bottomless brunch will be partnered with live music when restrictions permit and visitors will be able to enjoy a main meal alongside unlimited prosecco, Coors and selected cocktails.

Visitors to the newly opened bar will receive 40 per cent off their entire food every Monday and will be able to get 2-4-1 cocktails everyday.

The new bar has created more than five full time jobs in the area.

CEO of Arc Inspirations, Martin Wolstencroft, said: "We opened the terrace on April 12 and it is already proving to be extremely popular with the locals.

"The entire venue will open on May 17 in line with the easing of lockdown restrictions and we are super excited to be adding this unit to our portfolio.

"It's a great opportunity to provide a fun and relaxed environment for people with a shared passion for sport, socialising, great food and drink."
