International cuisines lie at the heart of the festival, which is now in its third year, and with more than 110 globally inspired traders set to attend, this year's event will be no different.

Street food fans will have plenty to look forward to as the festival brings together some of the UK's most talented vendours, and new specialist vegan traders will be in attendance in line with increased demand.

"Our ethos has always been to be globally inspired and locally produced," says Festival Director, Michael Johnston.

"Once again, the food at the festival will be inspired by all four corners of the globe and attendees can expect delicious cuisines that don't feature often in the UK, such as Malaysian, Peruvian or Armenian.

"We want to show that celebrating international influence doesn't have to be done at the expense of the local economy - all the traders are locally sourced, so we know we can fulfill this objective."

A new festival layout will pave way for the return of the Artisan Producer Market, now housed within giant marquees, and with more than 75 stalls, visitors will have the chance to sample some of the region's most exciting emerging food and drink brands.

For the drink enthusiasts there will be eight pop up bars to enjoy, including a specialty wine bar, a Prosecco bar, local gin bars and an independent cider bar, while beer lovers will be well catered for at the Soldiers Ale House, offering more than 22 local ales.

Also new for 2018 will be an arena area for live talks on subjects including nutrition, the future of food and veganism, tying in with the festival's new wellbeing area.

There will also be a variety of comedy, entertainment and street performances throughout the weekend, along with a host of activities to raise funds and awareness for Leeds-based charity, Leeds Mind, having raised in excess of £6,000 over the past two years.

Tickets are priced at £4.98 for adults, or £1.50 for those under 16.
