Each month, food businesses in Leeds are visited by the Food Standards Agency’s inspectors and given a rating from 0 to 5 based on standards observed at the time of inspection.
The inspector rates businesses based on food handling, the condition of the premises and management of food safety, with 5 being very good and 0 requiring immediate action.
So far in August, 13 businesses have impressed inspectors, receiving a score of either 4 (Good) or 5 (Very Good).
We have excluded major franchises such as Starbucks, as well as catering firms and similar businesses.
